Join Erin Creasey, (Manager, Industry Initiatives) on a cross sectional look at Ontario Creates. This talk walks emerging and established filmmakers through all of the resources available including the film commission, the interactive digital media fund, research and more. 

Erin Creasey is the Manager of Industry Initiatives at Ontario Creates. Erin’s portfolio includes funding programs for the film, tv, interactive digital media, books, and magazines sectors, along with international business development and industry support. 

Previously, Erin was Sales and Marketing Director at ECW Press, and President of the Association of Canadian Publishers, the national organization representing 133 English-language book publishers. Erin also represented ACP on the Public Lending Right Commission, was on the faculty of the book publishing certificate program at Ryerson University, and worked regularly with Canadian publishers as a mentor and professional development speaker.


Donna O'Brien-Sokić holds a Master of Arts in Global Leadership and is an award- winning Professor in the Faculty of Media and Creative Arts at Humber College, teaching courses in Media Management, Development and Entrepreneurship.

Working as a freelancer, and in positions with CITY TV and Viacom CBS Television Canada, lead her to her role as Director, Client Services and Marketing for the Disney/ABC Television Group, Canada. During her career with Disney she played a pivotal role in the company’s success, managing relationships with Canada’s major media companies. To regain her production roots, Donna transitioned becoming the Training Facilitator for the Directors Guild of Canada, ODC, launching their official training slate and forty new professional development courses two years.

As a faculty member of Humber’s acclaimed Film & Television Production Program, she prides herself on developing courses with industry partnerships, helping students bridge the gap between student and career.
